Designed the FAST programming language based on SWIFT that realizes the novel idea of implicit programming by providing tools to express user intent (e.g. energy-quality trade-offs). We have successfully combined algorithms from control theory and machine learning in the language runtime. Lead the design of a resource emulator facilitating large scale testing of the product. Set up collaboration framework for the 4 partnering institutes (Rice, MIT, Chicago, UT Austin).The project passed the first phase successfully and received overwhelming positive feedback in March '17. Project Proteus at Rice was led by Krishna V. Palem as PI and Robert "Corky" Cartwright as co-PI.

Redesigned the numerical core of the language and introduced state-of-the-art techniques. Partook in managing the project between continents and organizing international and national collaborations and workshops. Successfully get acquainted with the existing code-base, the language Scala, and Functional Programming, then consolidated the software and implemented the new algorithms and fundamental logic.Project Acumen at Rice was led by Walid Taha as PI and Robert "Corky" Cartwright as co-PI.

I was one of the lead teachers of TMA4105 Matematikk II that covered mainly multivariate calculus and vector calculus. The teaching language was Norwegian, and the student count of my class was around 200. We experimented with the intense use of the advanced mathematical software Maple for demonstrating the important concepts.The work was coordinated on weekly meetings with the other five main teachers in order to ensure consistency in the material and tasks for 1200 students. We also worked on evaluating and developing materials for the future editions of the course.
