Fergal is a co-founder and Partner of Highland Europe focused on enterprise SaaS and consumer internet companies (eCommerce, marketplace models, supporting eCommerce infrastructure). Fergal represents Highland Europe on the boards of GetYourGuide.com, AMCS, Nexthink, Bitmovin, Meditopia, Unibuddy, and Podimo.Until the formation of Highland Europe, Fergal was a General Partner with Highland Capital Partners. He launched the firm in Europe in 2007 and Co-Founded Highland Europe in 2011.He is a former director of Finanzcheck (Acquired by Scout24), Wooga (acquired by Playtika), Photobox (acquired by Exponent & Electra), Privalia (acquired by VentePrivee) GlassesDirect (acquired by Essilor), Coremetrics (acquired by IBM), Eleven Technology (acquired by Trimble), M7 (acquired by BEA) and VistaPrint (IPO: NASDAQ). Before joining Highland, Fergal was a founding partner of RSA Ventures, the corporate venture fund of RSA Security, Inc.Fergal began his career at CTG from which Cambridge Technology Partners was formed in 1991. He was a founder and ultimately Senior Vice President of Cambridge Technology Partners (NASDAQ: CATP) and a member of the Global Executive Committee of the firm. He was a member of the exec team that took the company public in 1993 helping steward the company from one office in Cambridge, MA to 56 offices around the world with 4,500 employees. Fergal attended Harvard Business School, where he earned his M.B.A. He also holds a B.S., Electrical Engineering, and a B.A., Business Economics from Brown University. Interests include long-distance running, backcountry skiing, biking, golf, and traditional Irish violin. A native of Dublin, Ireland, Fergal lives in Geneva with his wife Jane and four children.
