Founder at Feilden Fowles, a leading UK architecture studio specialising in arts, culture, education, heritage, workplace and strategic projects. I lead project teams to deliver the most impactful and beautiful buildings, with the greatest social and environmental impact. These are often complex in terms of funding, design, material experimentation and in sensitive, public settings. I’m currently working on the National Railway Museum in York, the Horniman Museum, London and a new gallery and arts centre in the South Downs. Previous projects include the Stirling shortlisted Weston at Yorkshire Sculpture Park and the Fratry at Carlisle Cathedral. Our practice, Feilden Fowles, have won many accolades including multiple RIBA national awards and nominations for the EU Mies Van Der Rohe prize, Civic Trust and BD Young Architect and Architect of the Year awards. My other roles include being a visiting professor at the University of Sheffield, a panel member of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park Quality Review Panel and RIBA Awards Chair. Outside of architecture I have many interest including carpentry, pottery, cycling, mountaineering, theatre, galleries and museums.
