About Fergus Thomson

I joined Gildeas in January 2015.I specialise in Court of Session personal injury cases and also appear regularly in Sheriff Court cases throughout Scotland.I am Accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a Specialist in Personal Injury Law.In May 2009, I was admitted as a Solicitor Advocate so have rights of audience to appear before Scotland’s highest civil court, the Court of Session, and also in the UK Supreme Court. My solicitor advocacy qualification means that I handle all aspects of Court of Session cases, including drafting of written pleadings and court appearances. I appear regularly in the Court of Session.I was a Partner at Harper Macleod from April 2008 until December 2014 and an Associate there from January 2005. Prior to joining Harper Macleod I dealt with motor, employers’ liability and public liability cases for major insurance clients over a seven-year period as an assistant solicitor with Bishops.
