I returned to the Northern Film School at Leeds Beckett University in September 2021, after a lengthy delay due to Covid, to undertake my MA Documentary Filmmaking Degree. During this course, I am learning about documentary filmmaking in more detail following specialising in it during the final year of my undergraduate degree. I've worked as a freelance videographer & photographe since graduating from my undergraduate degree in 2019. I work closely with clients to produce unique, high quality content that represents them accurately as a brand. This content differs from job to job but I've focussed primarily on commercial, documentary and music based work as that's where my passion for creating film and photo work really lies. In this time, I've also had the opportunity to work on photo and video based music projects involving several bands including Pendulum, Busted, Scouting for Girls, Professor Green, Big Image and other artists. These have differed in form but have taken me to some exciting places like Reading & Leeds Festival and a headline set off the coast of Portsmouth on Spitbank Fort. I've also had the opportunity to direct several music videos for a number of artists during this time, once again combining my love for filmmaking and music and I'm really looking forward to producing more of this work in the future.My roles vary from shoot to shoot but I can confidently direct, produce, shoot or edit projects I'm involved in. In my final year at university, I specialised in Documentary Filmmaking as this was the specialism that allowed me to learn a wider variety of skills instead of focussing solely on one… Show more From 2016 to 2019, I completed an undergraduate degree in Filmmaking from Leeds Beckett University and The Northern Film School. University gave me vast experience working in many roles within film that includes post production, cinematography, directing, producing, art direction and sound. In my final year at university, I specialised in Documentary Filmmaking as this was the specialism that allowed me to learn a wider variety of skills instead of focussing solely on one. During this year, I had the opportunity to put into fruition a project I'd been preparing since my time at the film school began. Alongside a crew of talented filmmakers and friends on my course, I directed and produced a documentary highlighting the problems of elephant trafficking in Thailand and the work being done at ethically focussed sanctuaries to combat it. During this process, we organised an ambitious shoot on the other side of the world for a module typically confined to the UK.My time at university helped me to refine my vision and goals for the future and push further into the industry.
