My particular responsibilities were oversight of the personnel team and sole responsibility of the logistics operation involving scores of suppliers, many scores of vehicles, one articulated lorry, council bollards and two parking spaces. The logistics went off without a hitch for the first time in memory and the Ball was a great success receiving amongst the most glowing of all the reviews of the year.
