Ferhan's digital and business career spans over 30 years of international business experience in technology marketing and international business development. Ferhan is an early alumni of Apple ('83-'94), where she co-led the digital media revolution in the USA and internationally, as part of Apple's Connectivity and Multimedia teams for Hypercard, Quicktime, and Newton, the early predecessor of iPad. She was one of the first 3 co-founders of Apple's Interactive Education Lab, in San Francisco, during 1987 to 1989, and subsequently she formed the Apple Education Showcase Lab in Paris, during 1991-1993. Ferhan deeply cares about the impact of cutting edge technologies on Education, Learning and Health. As the founder of Social Tech accelerator m-spark.org, she is currently helping tech entrepreneurs make social impact as a seasoned international advisor and mentor.Ferhan seeks to find innovative projects and help their teams achieve global recognition. She serves or served on various industry innovation juries such as the Mobile World Congress GSMA Education awards, Hello Tomorrow Deep Tech Awards, and MIT Innovators Under 35 Europe, and Mobile Entertainment Forum MEFFY awards, Korean Global Mobile Content Awards (GMCA). Ferhan is also and experienced designer and curator of high quality creative and technology events ( 15 years) such as TEDx, Mobile Content Awards, and Digital Technology Conferences at Global content markets such as the MILIA, MIPTV and MIPCOM Television and Interactive Content markets in Cannes. Ferhan pioneered the first Mobile TV Awards in Cannes, between 2003 and 2008 before iPhone was introduced. My roles spanned from creating and project managing and launching communications peripherals for Apple and managing this business from a P&L stand point ( $20 million sales in first year). After the Peripherals group, I joined Apple II software group and worked with all the Apple education and business software developing supporting Apple computers. After the Peripherals group, I moved over the Apple Education division where I participated in the formation of Apple's $10 million first Multimedia Studios in San Francisco. In this role, I participated in the creation of the first interactive videodisks working with film and tv companies such as Disney, Lucas Film, and book publishers like Scholastic, using the very first Interactive Multimedia software HYPERCARD ( 25th birthday!). We created Apple's first Multimedia products in Laserdiscs and CDRoms. I then moved over to become the first Multimedia director of Apple International, with the role of creating a world wide team of Multimedia evangelists. I started this first with the Pacific region where I travelled to Japan, Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore etc. I then was moved to France by Apple to head up Apple's multimedia operations in Europe, based in Paris. -

In this role, I won the Golden Apple award in 1982 for the success I created for Apple's multimedia activities in Europe. I then got promoted to be the head of Software publishing for Hand Held products of Apple ( PIE, Sweet Pea etc). In this role I drove the publishing of original European PDA titles in partnership with Economist, Larousse, Time Out Gide, Michelin, etc... as well as localization of over 15 US titles. I was responsible for the P&L of this publishing business in Europe. I concluded many licensing deals during this role, which improved my international business negotiation skills.

In this role as Controller, I opened and closed a production plant in Astoria Oregon, conducted new product positioning studies for Juices, fresh/frozen, and fish products, and worked with consumer agencies who developed advertising for Dole.
