With over 10 years of education and experience in Biology and Genetics, I have developed a strong skill set in project management, laboratory techniques, and data analysis. After four years of dedicated work, I made the difficult decision to leave my PhD program. Although I did not complete the program, I am proud of the research and academic work I completed and the skills I developed during my time in the program.In my most recent role as a researcher at Karadeniz Technical University, I worked in a project related to Raine syndrome, a rare genetic disorder. Through our work, we identified a novel mutation in the FAM20C gene of patients through DNA Sequencing and successfully carried out a variety of protocols, including PCR, cDNA Synthesis, Gateway Cloning, Mammalian Cell Transfection protocol with Cell Culture, qRT-PCR and Western Blotting for mRNA and protein expression analysis. Our findings will be prepared for submission to SCI-expanded journals soon.In addition to my work on Raine syndrome, I have experience in histology and embryology and have worked extensively with tissue processing and histopathology methods for a variety of tissues and organs. I have presented my research at national and international conferences.Furthermore, I have developed strong computer skills, have gained ability to develop basic Python programs.
