During my bachelor’s thesis at Axis, I developed a web platform for security operators to quickly and easily view and perform security-critical actions, such as locking doors, triggering alarms, accessing identification information, and more. The application communicated with Axis security controllers (hardware) and used WebSockets to provide instant feedback on actions taken.Some key aspects of the project:- Built an accessible and user-friendly web application using React and following best practices of UI/UX design with Material Design.- Implemented WebSocket communication for real-time actions and feedback, such as locking doors and triggering alarms.- Created floor maps in SVG format and manipulated the SVG to provide a real-time overview, displaying the status of open/closed doors and the location of personnel.
