I am an academic plastic surgeon who loves each and every field of my profession. My initial career has been on microsurgical reconstruction and composite tissue transplantation. I had the opportunity of having training and mentorship from pioneering leaders in these fields such as Dr.Maria Siemionow and Dr.Fu-Chan Wei. I was involved in the first hand tranplantation and face transplantation cases in Turkey. I have served as the president of the Turkish Society of Reconstructive Microsurgery. Then, my focus shifted on to medical education and particularly teaching of surgical skills. I established the Division of Medical Education at the University of Mersin. Now I am in private practice and interested more in aesthetic surgery and its training.
