• Making sure that power plant is safe for operation and all the elements, including generator, turbine, pumps, air conditioning systems, and heat exchangers, etc… are working properly and meet all the relevant safety.
• Preparing shift reports and communicating the next team on duty to ensure that necessary information for the operational condition of the unit is reported effectively
• Preparing and overviewing operation checklists & procedures for the safe operation of the power plant auxiliary equipment
• Overseeing and operating plant start-ups and shutdowns as required
• Records auxiliary equipment operating data, including all alarms and protective devices being actuated, and reports any deviation to the concerned maintenance engineer for necessary action.

• Identifying the maintenance requirements of Turbine, Water Treatment Plant, Compressors, Ash Dam Irrigation systems, and associated auxiliary equipment to make maintenance plans and execute them.
• Managing a team of 20 maintenance technicians, and responding to equipment faults in a timely manner, ensuring machinery equipment are ready for operation anytime and functioning according to specifications.
• Spare parts management, determining the needs and creating purchase orders for planned revisions and general maintenance work using SAP MM coordinated with team members, and maintenance manager.
• Recording and documenting all work carried out on all equipment on both paper and electronic systems as is required.
• Preparation of spare part technical drawings, manufacturing directives using G&DT.
