Dr. Fermin Franco is a founding partner and current academic director of the Hispanic-Japanese consulting company "KUMIAY Internacional Co., Ltd. (G.K.)", founded in 2017 in Japan and specialized in business, training and exchange between Japan and the Americas. Dr. Franco is also currently a professor at the Autonomous University of Baja California. He holds a PhD in Industrial Mathematics from Kyushu University in Japan. He did postdoctoral work at the Institute of Mathematics for Industry in Fukuoka, Japan, specializing in industrial problem solving and technology development for Japanese companies using theoretical and computational physico-mathematical methods. He worked for three years as a researcher at the Center for Mathematical Modeling and Data Science at Osaka University in Japan, focusing on medical mathematics, biomathematics, biophysics and data analysis. The researcher is also certified as a "black belt" in the Six Sigma methodology, used mainly in the manufacturing industry for quality control, with four years of experience as a consultant and instructor of statistics applied to industry for companies in the California area in Mexico and the United States. He has six years of experience as a teacher and instructor of technical and language courses in Mexico and Japan. He is fluent in Japanese, English and Spanish and is the author of about a dozen scientific articles in scientific journals and conferences of international recognition in physical-mathematical areas around the world.
