Digital Learning Specialist
CurrentTrain and support PreK-12 educators and staff in all curriculum areas in the integration of technology based on current technology integration models, the ISTE Standards, and UbD Design, develop, and present effective campus and district-level professional learning on the use of technology-based instructional strategies in the classroom Develop and publish enriching professional learning and support materials for educators and staff (websites, videos, webinars, etc.) Collaborate with the Academic Services Department in supporting curriculum with technologies used in classroom instruction and for professional productivity Collaborate with campus administration, curriculum coordinators, and specialists to plan personalized professional learning opportunities for educators Assess participant acquisition of skills using a variety of evaluation procedures and conduct follow-up training based on resultsWork to ensure ongoing communication in support of the administrative and educational goals of the district in collaboration with the Network Operations team, the Academic Services Department, Campus Services Department, district and school administrators, and others Work with district technology staff and outside vendors to ensure that teachers and administrators have the support, equipment, and materials needed to implement technology-based instruction Work with principal(s) and campus committees in planning technology training, implementing technology plans, and selecting instructional equipment and software Research and recommend instructional technology resources to support district goalsExhibit an understanding of social media and its appropriate use in education, including the connections necessary for learning and participating in today’s global society Develop and utilize a professional learning network Model and instruct in the use of digital devices and communication tools to engage learners.
