I carry responsibility for developing institutional and wholesale business amongst the different partnerships within the Aegon Asset Management Group. In practice, this means optimizing the product/market grid on a global basis and subsequently developing unexploited product/market combinations.

Responsibility for Aegon Asset Management's positioning as an institutional player in the European market (sales and marketing activities throughout continental Europe (institutional) and the Benelux (wholesale) with a 9-staff team). In addition, I headed the Global Consultants team, whereas I managed my own portfolio of clients and consultants.

Rotterdam

I was responsible for coverage of the investment consultants in Europe, Middle East and Asia. My activities significantly raised Robeco’s standing with consultants. I initiated Robeco’s fiduciary proposition in 2006 (which became Corestone). In addition, I was successful in building business with selected key accounts. Finally, I was a member of the Dutch Management Team and, as a Managing Director, carried responsibility for Robeco’s Luxemburg-based SICAV fund range.

Amsterdam

Institutional business development (including funds distribution) for the Benelux and Denmark with a 10-staff team. In addition, I was a member of the European Marketing & Distribution Board in Geneva, carrying co-responsibility of institutional business development and strategic issues on a European scale.

I carried end responsibility for all asset management activities and business development in the Benelux and Scandinavia. I reorganized the portfolio management teams with the aim to bring the equities and fixed income teams under one roof in London (fixed income) and Paris (equities). As a consequence, the Dutch office was transformed into a sales office.

Business development to Dutch institutional clients. Together with my 5-strong team I developed a successful sales strategy generating substantial institutional inflows on an annual basis.
