About Fernanda Louize Monteiro Brocardo Fernandes
I‘m a Building Information Modeling (BIM) Specialist, passionate about technology and innovation, and actively participate in congresses and studies focusing disseminating BIM.I acted as a BIM consultant while partner at Logi Architecture from 2011 to 2015, promoting and driving BIM implementation in Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) Brazilian companies. During that time, I was a member of the BIM Working Group of the Brazilian Association of Architectural Companies (AsBEA/PR).Subsequently, I was responsible for the implementation and coordination of BIM technology at a Regional Construction Sector of the Brazilian Army for seven years, where I was a part of the BIM Dissemination Committee in the Military System. In 2018, a project I developed was a finalist of the first Public Administration BIM Award, promoted by Brazil's National Congress.Nowadays I’m a BIM coordinator in the Federation of Industries of Paraná state (FIEP/PR) and teach in several Post Graduate Programs, such as PUC/PR, IDD, UTFPR, and FIEP about BIM project management and modeling, systems integration, collaborative work, and innovative applications.I’m a BIM specialist with experience not only applying BIM methodology in public but also in private organizations. I offer BIM implementation and operation with digital skills and an innovative mindset, delivering compelling creativity.In my opinion, when BIM is applied as a process, it can provide a collaborative environment in the construction sector. This is especially necessary in Brazil reallity now, where we are experiencing a transition moment from CAD to BIM. I aim to lead these necessary changes, ensuring excellence in BIM implantation projects in the companies.
