At age 11, Fernanda left a session of 'Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade' confident in her decision: to work in film and TV. She wanted to go to Hollywood, won a scholarship and ended up at Denison University, in Ohio. As a precaution against unemployment in the film industry, she also studied philosophy. She returned to Brazil to produce 'Fish Dreams', by Kirill Mikhanovsky, a feature which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival' Critics Week. She became a a producer. Among her several productions are 'Domingo', 'Casa Grande' and 'Laura', by Fellipe Barbosa; 'If I take a few months' and 'Quem Matou Eloá', by Livia Perez; and 'Arte Ativa', by Eduardo Benaim and Jorge Saad Jafet. She traveled the world, won awards, missed flights, gave interviews, attended festivals and drank very well at this stage. But her passion for Final Draft was greater than for Excel. She dropped out of production to write comedy. She collaborated on the screenplays of 'The Suspect' (thriller), 'Jailers' (drama) and 'Bixete' (horror). As a Script Doctor, she worked on the scripts for 'Gabriel and the Mountain' (road movie), Boi Bandido (youth series) and Tempo Meio Azul Piscina (FRAPA award for best script in 2020), as well as over 200 feature and series projects at labs and forums such as ANCINE/Prodav, BrLab, Gostoso Lab, Bolivia Lab, Icumam Lab (which she coordinates) and many others. She finally landed in comedy with the sitcom 'Unsustainables', which she wrote and directed (available on Amazon Prime - Brazil). From there, it was a leap to dramedy with "A Historia Delas", which premieres in 2023 on Disney Starplus. As she embarks onto her next writer's room (a children's adventure series), Fernanda remains confident in her decision.
