Fernanda Filgueiras Sauerbronn has a Ph.D. in administration from EBAPE/FGV (2005-2009). She holds a degree in Economic Sciences from FEA / UFRJ and a master's degree in Public Administration from EBAPE / FGV. She did her postdoctoral work at the IIQI (International Institute of Qualitative Inquiry) at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She develops agency, governance, and accountability studies in the public-private interface based on alternative epistemologies and methodologies. Her recent projects are related to decolonial approaches that go beyond traditional methods toward engaging with social transformation. She is an associate professor at UFRJ, working in undergraduate, master, and doctoral courses in accounting. She was Graduate Program in Accounting Sciences coordinator (2016-2021) and currently co-coordinates the research group OGA-Observatory of Management and Accountability. Together with ANPCONT, she was head of the Accounting and Public Sector division. At AOM, she is head of the CMS (Division Chair Track) elected for 2018-2023. She co-hosted the 2020 and 2021 virtual editions of the QRCA-Qualitative Research and Critical Accounting conference. She is an associate editor of international journals such as Qualitative Research on Organization and Management, a member of the Editorial Board of the international journals Organization, Innovar and Accounting History Review, and a former editor of the Revista Sociedade, Contabilidade e Gestão (SCG). She serves/d as a special issue editor for GWO, Critical Perspectives on Accounting, Accounting Education, and ARLA. She coordinates/d 9 research projects financed by public funding notices.
