Anything I do, I do with joy and enthusiasm. This is how people use to describe me professionally. Regardless of how hard, monotonous or demanding the job is, I will always strive to get the best results and to overcome any challenge that may arise with a positive attitude. I believe this is why my career transition has been extremely enriching and gratifying since I decided to move to Winnipeg and expand my horizons.I worked for more than 12 years for a Brazilian television company, FIC. I started there as an administrative assistant. As I performed my duties with excellence, I had the opportunity to grow within the company and reach the position of Executive Producer Manager. Due to my Bachelor’s degree in Social Communication-Broadcasting, this was an extremely valuable experience that enabled me to enhance my organizational and managerial skills, as well as develop other competencies such as marketing pieces creation, screenplay preparation and announcements records. I also led a team responsible for the edition of a TV show sent to several countries around the globe. Thus, I had frequent contact with foreign clients to assist them in different areas, such as contract clauses fulfilment, technical specifications for the TV program, and international shipments through freight forwarders. Those tasks guided me to my new passion and career, International Business.I am currently a student of the International Business program at MITT, where I have learned how to:- Implement successful market strategies for importing and exporting- Mitigate the different types of risks involved in international transactions- Operate the various procedures related to the Canadian customs Although it is a new field to me, I am gathering as much experience I can from my current job as a Customs Broker, preparing imports and exports paperwork and handling various clients' inquiries. I am highly motivated to keep growing and developing my career in International Business.
