I lead innovative research projects focused on CO2 utilization using the CCU technology, such as the production of CO2-based materials/chemicals and fuels, supporting the industrial implementation of defossilation/decarbonization solutions from scientific findings.

As an R&D +Innovation consultant, my main role is to provide specialized services to help companies, organizations, and institutions in the process of creating, developing, and implementing R&D+ I projects to help them achieve their goals. My main duties are:• Elaboration of R&D+I technical projects as the System of Tax Incentives in Research and Business Development (SIFIDE), PT2030 SI, I&DT;• Support in the SIFIDE financial component;• Support in the elaboration of the financial components of the PT2030 projects;• Participation in meetings with customers to identify costs, projects, R&D activities, and others;• Identification of new business opportunities.

The Ph.D. project was focused on the development of bio-based polymeric materials, including polyurethane foams and adhesives, from kraft lignin isolated by the LignoBoost process. During this project, I was responsible to characterize the kraft lignin, to develop lignin-based polyol using the oxyalkylation process, and polyurethane products with a TRL 4-5. I used various analytical methods, such as NMR, GPC, FT-IR, TGA, DMA, and SEM to characterize the resulting materials. Additionally, I developed strategies to produce non-isocyanate polyurethane (NIPU) and carried out a technical-economic assessment of polyol production. I also possess basic knowledge of REACH and ECHA regulations.

I worked as a collaborative researcher at the University where I played a crucial role in supporting various research projects and providing technical consultancy in the field of Pulp & Paper. My responsibilities included improving the quality of brown and bleached pulp, as well as reducing the chemicals in the bleaching process.Additionally, I provided support to scientific work and internships for undergraduate students, which allowed them to gain hands-on experience and develop their skills in the field.

• Continuous improvement of kraft pulp (brown and bleached) and chemical-mechanical pulp (CMP) processes to produce paper for packaging;• Projects related with wood chemistry issues, kraft cooking conditions, pulp refining, quality of pulp (Kappa number, viscosity, brightness) and reduction of the cost of chemicals used in the production of brown and bleached pulp;• Support to customer service and matrix management expense (chemicals expense);• Knowledge in Six Sigma methodology and ISO 9001 standard.

• Support research projects related to R&D, cost reduction of the bleaching process of kraft pulp, and quality of bleached pulp;• Responsible for characterizing the kraft pulp relative to its viscosity, Kappa number, hexenuronic acid content, metals, COD, brightness;• Production of dissolving pulp using prehydrolysis kraft process (PHK) and optimization of bleaching process to obtain pulps with special characteristics such as high purity, low level of inorganic contaminants, appropriate viscosity, and brightness (TRL 5-6);• Responsible for preparing technical-scientific reports.
