I focus my daily energy on work that brings me satisfaction when I see the results. This passion intertwines with my commitment to integrating technological innovation into the foundations of High Reliability Organizations, believing in the transformative power of this union to enhance organizational safety and efficiency.I have a solid background in Information Technology (IT), where I specialized in Health Care Interoperability, focusing on standards such as HL7 FHIR and HL7 V2.In recent years, I have associated my expertise and IT background to dedicate myself to projects involving the technologies and principles of High Reliability Organizations, including my commitment to a doctoral degree in this field.High Reliability Organizations (HROs), due to the high risk in their operations, require excellence, as any failure can result in serious consequences, including loss of lives. However, they are recognized for having minimal or even non-existent failure rates, becoming synonymous with reliability and safety.Imagine, seeing your organization's reliability and security at high levels, monthly revenues increase, costs reduce and employees engaged and happy. What would that feeling be like? This is what most organizations are looking for, but still, most fail to achieve. The secret to this achievement is understanding and applying the fundamental principles of HROs, something I am committed to disseminating and implementing. If you want to know more about this subject and explore how HROs can transform your company, I am available to exchange ideas and help you.

Doctor Of Philosophy (Ph.D.), Information Systems And TechnologiesUniversity Of Minho Feb 2014 - Jun 2022Guimarães, PortugalThesis title: Impact of Technology Use on Organizational Mindfulness: Proposal for a Theoretical Model.During my research work, I developed and validated a model to evaluate the impact of the use of technologies, by decision makers, on the quality of collective attention (Organizational Mindfulness) in the health area.Organizational Mindfulness was initially studied to understand how High Reliability Organizations (HRO) avoid catastrophic errors. Currently, increasingly used in organizations that pay close attention to what happens around them, refusing to operate on “autopilot”.HROs are organizations that achieve safety, quality, and efficiency goals by employing 5 principles: 1 - Preoccupation with failure (to view near misses as opportunities to improve, rather than proof of success); 2 - Reluctance to simplify (the acceptance that work is complex, with the potential to fail in new and unexpected ways); 3 - Sensitivity to operations (heightened awareness of the state of relevant systems and processes);4 - Deference to expertise (to value insights from staff with the most pertinent safety knowledge over those with greater seniority); 5 - Commitment to resilience (to prioritize emergency training for many unlikely, but possible, system failures). With a quantitative approach, it was possible to show where there is a lack of Organizational Mindfulness and where the organization can intervene and act quickly to achieve its objectives. -
