Passionate about fostering transparency, digital transformation, and civic engagement, I currently hold positions as a consultant and a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Muenster. My focus lies in studying smart cities and their technological capabilities, as well as data and participation infrastructures.My journey has been characterized by a commitment to reshaping public governance and leveraging technology for positive change.I served as the executive director of Open Knowledge Brasil from 2019 to 2024. During this period, I helped the organization grow in relevance, size, and funding, enhancing its impact on public policy.During my tenure as a public manager at Sao Paulo City Hall from 2013 to 2019, I championed policies centered on transparency, digital transformation, and civic technologies, fundamentally reshaping the way government interacts with its citizens. My role as the Head of Integrity at the Comptroller General’s Office further deepened my understanding of ethical governance.At the Department of Education, I proudly led the flagship Open Government Initiative – ‘Patio Digital’. This initiative harnessed the potential of open government practices and digital innovation to redefine education for a rapidly evolving world.With academic pursuits complementing my practical experience, I specialized in Transparency and Accountability at the University of Chile. My academic journey began with a Journalism degree from the University of Sao Paulo, followed by a Master’s Degree in Education from the same institution. Recently, I obtained a Public Administration PhD from Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV) and served as a lecturer on Compliance and Public Innovation at Insper.I’ve had the privilege of participating in influential initiatives such as the Open Government fellowship at the Organization of American States (2015), Open Data Leaders Network at the Open Data Institute (2016), and a Government Fellowship at EGOV – United Nations University (2018). These experiences have broadened my perspective and enriched my understanding of global governance trends.
