Profile bio

About Fernanda Correa Rodríguez

Program and project manager internationally recognized for excellent capability of data analysis, strong communication skills and a keen focus on delivering impactful results. Knowledgeable and passionate about social and gender equality, as well as climate justice and climate action. I started my career path by studying the science and technology side of the climate crisis, however, the more I studied the more I learned that the climate emergency is an equality issue more than a science and technology issue, which is why I started complementing my studies and my work to focus on equity and equality, particularly through the lens of gender studies and intersectional feminism. I've been extremely fortunate to have been able to successfully design, manage and implement projects and programs for almost a decade, and to have had the opportunity to create and deploy communication strategies that have elevated every single project I've been a part of.I bring knowledge, experience and an open mind and heart to every team I work with, and I'm eager to keep collaborating with groups and organizations to design, develop and implement projects and programs that bring positive and lasting impact to our communities.

Strategic Membership Programs Manager (Americas)

Current
Ypo

Mexico

It took 70 years to grow to 2400 women in YPO. Since the launch of the Athena Program four years ago, we have added +2000 more. The Athena Program was developed by a YPO Board Sponsored Working Group to accelerate gender diversity in the world’s largest leadership community of chief executives, and I'm responsible for its implementation in the seven regions in the American continent. In this role, I collaborate closely with my team and with CEOs from across the Americas to design and develop member-led initiatives that aim to engage and support women chief executives in their journey to join their extraordinary peers to drive positive change and make a meaningful impact in the world.I also manage the Awani Program, which aims to increase the membership and engagement of Black leaders in the Americas. The way I support the implementation of these programs is by managing, analyzing and interpreting data, co-designing a multi-platform communication agenda, influencing and facilitating member-to-member connections and member-to-member mentoring, creating tools and resources for our Champions, and planning and running a variety of projects that have the objective of having a more equal and inclusive organization.

May 2023 - Present

Researcher, Focus On Gender Equality And Climate Justice

Ciudad De México, México

As a full time Master in Science student, I examined the various components of the climate crisis as well as the possible solutions that are available to confront it. I focused on the root causes of the climate emergency, which stem from the systems of inequality that govern our societies. I dove deep into issues like social equity and equality, sustainable development goals, ESG (environmental, social, governance) targets, environmental and social indicators, sustainable institutions and organizations, human rights and public policy. On the course of these 2 years, I refined my research skills, understood how to design and apply methodologies and research frameworks, learned how to do bibliometric studies, apply surveys and questionnaires across geographies, and manage, systematize and interpret large quantities of data to find insights, conclusions and ask deeper questions. I designed and applied various methodologies and tools to measure, study and analyze the gender gap in scientific leadership, and I specialized in social studies, gender studies, gender and sustainability, and gender perspective. My thesis revolved around SDG number 5: Gender Equality.
