Carbon Footprint Assignment and Offsetting Strategy. The assignment was to analyze the carbon landscape in the floriculture industry, for that was necessary to do deep research and elaborate an environmental analysis to identify the key trends, market, industrial and macroeconomic forces affecting the company. Voluntary and compliance carbon markets are studied and how they affect Afriflora's business and its sustainability strategy.Alternatives for reducing pollutant emissions are analyzed along the entire value chain and specific recommendations are given.The carbon footprint of the company corresponding to the operations of the year 2020 is calculated.Carbon offset alternatives that can be implemented in Ethiopia are studied in detail, such as growing and planting bamboo, efficient cookstoves for communities, and processing rose waste to produce briquettes / pellets.In addition, general management recommendations are presented to improve long-term performance, with special emphasis on the implementation of open innovation methodologies.
