I have enjoyed a creative entrepreneurial career. Better known for Pokémon in India, my proudest venture is the creation of Chhota Birbal c. 2002, India's first licensed animation character, created to safeguard nourishing myths and local identity. Its success fundamentally shifted the children's media landscape in India. A creative spirit, with a rare mix of cross-disciplinary skills and expertise, I identify most as a creative socio-political entrepreneur. With 30 years of experience in entrepreneurship, finance, brand, and innovation, I am now a Fellow and Co-Director of the Centre for India and Global Business at the University of Cambridge's Judge Business School. Have been a Sloan Fellow at the London Business School, a Senior Chevening Gurukul Scholar at the London School of Economics, and am a qualified Chartered Accountant. Started my work career at Arthur Andersen and as an equities analyst at the Kotak-Goldman Sachs India joint venture. I have co-founded and led several diverse ventures including Chhota Birbal and Pokémon India and ran a state legislature election campaign on the platform of 'earth kindness'.Designed India's first model permanent fund to safeguard intergenerational equity (as a Fellow at the University of Cambridge's Centre for Endowment Asset Management).Been an entrepreneur-in-residence with Bertelsmann (RTL Disney, Random House, Bertelsmann Digital Media Investments, and FremantleMedia) and Advisor to Wolff Olins and Eight Inc.
