Two-year internal medicine residency approved by the Venezuelan Ministry of the People's Power for Health. Performed minor surgical procedures, central venous catheterization, lumbar puncture, paracentesis, thoracentesis, intubation, and advanced cardiac life support. Participated in morning rounds, teaching conferences and case presentations. During the first year, assessed and managed patients in the Adult Emergency Department and the internal medicine wards, taking primary responsibility for the care of all the patients, under the supervision of attending physicians.
