I am a hands-on leader for the technology and utilities industries. Having served as Product Manager for Ventyx, an enterprise software provider to the energy, mining, and public infrastructure industries, I quickly learned how the power of their software helps utilities and grid operators match electricity generation with consumption, with an ability to generate revenue from smart grids and carbon trading.Afterwards, my goal was to increase my technology skills. I acquired invaluable technology abilities as a Scrum Team Lead consultant for Macy’s where I delivered creative solutions for challenging business and customer requirements. Accepting another consulting role as IT Architect for UC Berkeley, enabled me to study and improve performance of the university’s Salesforce integration. Then, my career in energy and utilities took off. I was hired to improve information security and scale a stagnant, managed service organization for Comverge, a leading provider of load management systems for the benefit of electric utilities. I built a team with an engaging culture and established a new Cyber Security program to support this demand management provider of software, hardware, and services to electric utilities.When the firm was acquired by Itron, senior leaders selected me to join them. After the firm’s acquisition, I led the global managed services organization to support the major utility’s customers for energy and water resource management. I hired, built and managed a team of 200+ direct and indirect manager reports, providing performance reviews and coaching that significantly improved performance.I recently left Revel Systems, where I was Vice President of Information Technology, and Project Manager for six years. I hired and led a global corporate systems engineering team of IT Managers to support the company's cloud AWS-based SaaS business. I effectively led cross functional teams of Directors, and improved their performance through coaching, performance reviews and mentoring. My efforts inspired collaboration with corporate systems teams in IT Security, Engineering, Finance, Legal, Customer Success, and Operations which significantly improved operating efficiencies.
