As Global Component Responsible, I will take place on an exciting change journey and join the newly formed TVM&EVS (Traction Voltage Monitoring & Electric Vehicle Supply) team in Power Conversion. In this role I will specify the technical requirements, choose supplier solution, and secure the industrialization and maintenance of the solution together with a cross-functional team within Volvo. I will work close with our suppliers to secure the deliveries by managing the work distribution and making sure the suppliers understand the technical requirements here at Volvo as well as the needs of our customers and application.I gave been working as a Project Engineer at Volvo Trucks, I led the development of the next generation of displays and cameras for Camera Monitoring Systems. I was responsible person to drive the display development and secure quality, delivery, cost and feature. This is an exciting area where the technology evolves rapidly, and where the customers have high expectations. It goes without saying that Camera Monitor Systems play a key role in the future driver environment.I worked as an R&D director, where my main functions were focused on the development of strategies for technical and product support for final costumers and worldwide distributors. I participated in the product improvement of existing products and development of new products fulfilling the objectives of the company's continuous improvement scheme; understanding market demand, planning and developing products to meet customer needs and remain competitive in the marketplace.I am a Mechanical Engineer from Colombia (degree validated for the Swedish Agency for Higher Education as a 5 years engineering bachelor), I have a Master degree in Industrial Informatics (Automation) from Sweden and I have complemented my industrial management knowledge studying other master level courses focus in Quality/Environmental management and Logistics. I complimented my personal skills with a 2 years leadership vocational advance diploma in Sydney Australia.During my education in Sydney, I have had the opportunity to develop my skills in team work, leadership, project, personal and volunteers' management. I collaborated in areas as People follow ups, lead the Latino American students’ community of the college, and I oversees social community projects for the Latin Community in Sydney and other local projects for a specific Sydney area.I have experience working with International business, especially in Europe and Latin American market.
