I began my communications career as a journalist 17 years ago and later moved into the role of communications professional for various international NGOs. I am adept at creating internal and external communications strategies to increase an organization’s profile, visibility, acceptance and Crisis Communication Management. Currently, I am acting as Communication and Public Relations Expert, Local Content Focal Point and Social Development Program Coordinator at Mphanda Nkuwa Hydroelectric Project Implementation Office, implemented by Ministry of Mineral Resources and Energy.Before this position, I worked as Communication Consultant at U.S Agency for International Development (USAID), at Autoridade Reguladora de Água (AURA), as well as Communication Consultant at LEAD, Communication and Media Company, providing communication services on the development of content and tools for the client The High Commission of Canada in Mozambique.Previously at Jhpiego, I worked as Communication Coordinator. Before joining Jhpiego, I was a program and communication associate at PATH. Prior to this position at PATH, I worked at Doctors without Borders Belgium and Swiss, where my varied responsibilities included organizing briefings with local media and field media visits with acclaimed international media outlets such as the Los Angels Times, The New York Times, Globo TV, BBC, Univision, the Guardian and others. I also worked as Journalist and Project Coordinator at Media Institute of Southern Africa (MISA-Mozambique), at Agência de Notícias de Resposta ao SIDA, in Mozambique. I worked short term in Brazil as Journalist at Agência de Notícias da Aids, where I visited acclaimed media such as Folha de São Paulo, Radio Jovem Pam, TV Cultura and others. In addition to this professional experience, I am the Founder and was the CEO at MARKAY Serviços communication agency.
