As a team member in the Security Department in Tacoma General Hospital, the responsibilities of this role was to establish a safe hospital environment for Multicare’s staff, patients, and visitors. This was to ensure staff was able to provide the proper care and attention to patients and their visitors. Duties conducted as a Military Police Investigator were but not limited to- Investigated hundreds of crimes.- Used modern crime scene investigation techniques including swabbing for DNA lifting fingerprints and foot impressions collecting soil samples obtaining and executing search warrants and evidence preservation.-Followed chain of custody mandates to send individual items off for laboratory analysis and DNA testing.- Wrote Affidavits requesting arrests and permission to search homes, cars, computers, and other personal property that could assist with solving a case.-Responded to major crimes and preserved the scene to avoid evidence contamination.- Briefing information which has been gathered to supervisors.-Wrote investigative reports and referred cases for charging to the District Attorney's Office.- Cooperated with defense attorneys when they needed to view collected evidence or have secondary analysis performed by their own experts.
