I am a business student at the University of Houston and recently transitioned from the armed forces into the civilian sector in 2023. During my military career I served as an administrative specialist and have experience in human resources, computer skills to include Windows, MS Word, Excel, etc. and gained valuable leadership roles to mange, and supervise small teams. The military served as a stepping stone to further my personal goals, education and real world experiences. I attended community college at Central Texas College and earned my Associate of Arts, General Studies in 2019, and continued taking online courses at Texas A&M University-Commerce (2021-2022). Outside of college education, I wanted to gain an insight to better lead a team and took on Google's Project Management course through Coursea and completed in February, 2023. Toward the tail end of my active duty time, I was able to attend a accounting internship at Wm. S. Cannon & Associates and gained QuickBooks online certifications and invaluable experience in the accounting world. Soon after, I was hired on and now work part-time while attending college full-time.Time management and working under pressure has only propelled me into the opportunities presented. I enjoy working with people, and accomplishing goals together but also providing any help with personal goals as well. To say the least my dedication, work ethic and past experiences have led me on my current path I am grateful for, but not satisfied.
