Biologist, Professor, Ph.D. in Biological Science – Ecology, with 20+ years of experience working in the Brazilian Amazon. Since 2000 I have been researching the ecological mechanisms and the anthropic impacts that influence the Beta and Gama diversity of fish in the dryland streams that occur in the Amazon rainforest, with special attention to regions still without surveys or with a potential risk of environmental impact. Published 13 peer-reviewed articles, two books, and three book chapters. I acted as a permanent Research Assistant Professor at Universidade Federal do Amazonas – UFAM (Federal University of Amazonas), Amazonas State, Brazil, between 2008 – 2015, taught over 20 undergraduate courses on Ecology, Amazon Ecology, Botany, Biosafety, Immunology, and others. Established the Biodiversidade e Ecologia do Bioma Amazônico (Biodiversity and Ecology of the Amazonian Biome) Research Group. Professor Adviser of monographs and undergraduate scientific initiation researches. Since 2015 I have worked as permanent Research Assistant Professor at Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do Amazonas – IFAM (Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Amazonas), Amazonas State, Brazil. Taught over 10 undergraduate courses and technical courses on Biology, Aquatic Ecology, Biology of Cell, and others. Established the Ciências, Educação e Meio Ambiente Amazônico – CIEMA (Science, Education and Amazon Environment) Research Group. Served as the Director of Education, Research and Extension, for three years and served as Coordinator of the Aquaculture Engineering course for two years.
