The project aims at the predictions of medium-scale morphological evolution.- Development of a Decision Support System to integrate field data and Hydrodynamic model results.- Instructor in the course “Remote Sensing and GIS applications” for the Master of Science program in coastal geosciences and engineering.- Project leader of a group with four research assistants to pre-process field data.- Advisor of the following master theses presented for the master of sciences in Coastal geosciences and engineering: “A Fire Warning and Response Management System for the State of Parana, Brazil” (July 2002), “Software for Water Level Time Series Analysis” (August 2001) and “Sediment mapping in the Meldorf Bight using side scan sonar data” (March 2001).

- Implementation of GIS capabilities for FRAME (Fluvial Routing Analysis and Modeling Environment) project, a software system that integrates watershed rainfall-runoff and flow routing models to GIS systems, including automatic mesh generation, graphical interface and visualization tools.- In cooperation with the USDA – National Sedimentation Laboratory; implementation of a subroutine for simulation of lateral migration of rivers into BEAMS (Bed and Bank Erosion Analysis Model for Streams), a software system developed by the CCHE for long term sediment transport simulations in rivers.- Implementation of a river meandering subroutine in the 1D model of the NCCHE, for the study of channel planform evolution.
