As an autonomous inter-governmental organization headquartered in Lisbon, Portugal, the ICSG brings together 24 member governments along with the European Union, fostering essential dialogue between nations involved in both the production and utilization of copper.The main responsibilities encompass leading comprehensive analyses on economic and environmental aspects of the copper industry, including production and usage trends, trade regulations, recycling, and environmental impact assessments. Tasked with overseeing the preparation and delivery of high-quality reports for public and private consumption, the aim is to contribute to informed decision-making within the global copper market, enhancing market transparency, and fostering international cooperation. Additionally, this role entails representing the organization in international cooperation bodies alongside countries and public and private organizations.
