As an autonomous inter-governmental organization headquartered in Lisbon, Portugal, the ICSG brings together 24 member governments along with the European Union, fostering essential dialogue between nations involved in both the production and utilization of copper.The main responsibilities encompass leading comprehensive analyses on economic and environmental aspects of the copper industry, including production and usage trends, trade regulations, recycling, and environmental impact assessments. Tasked with overseeing the preparation and delivery of high-quality reports for public and private consumption, the aim is to contribute to informed decision-making within the global copper market, enhancing market transparency, and fostering international cooperation. Additionally, this role entails representing the organization in international cooperation bodies alongside countries and public and private organizations.

Atanor is a mining consultancy specializing in integrated solutions for mining processes, including equipment design, economic valuation, and technical report preparation.While pursuing a Postgraduate degree at the London Business School, successfully balanced remote part-time work collaborating with BMINING and COP-Ingeniería. Evaluated gold-silver projects in Argentine Patagonia worth MMUS$20, and lead a MMUS$600 CAPEX estimation for BHP (Minera Escondida). As a consultant for the Pacific Mining Company, enhanced financial evaluation procedures and conducted cash flow analysis for external institutions. Additionally, contributed to updating business plans and reports for Atanor on land quality in open pit mining, in partnership with The Production Development Corporation (CORFO), the Advanced Mining Technology Center (AMTC), and Antofagasta Minerals.

The Pacific Mining Company, a CAP Group company, is the main producer of iron ores on the American Pacific coast. Its main operations are in the Atacama and Coquimbo regions and the most important products are Pellet Feed, Self-fluxing Pellet and Sinter Feed, which represent 96% of the company's shipments.Played a key role in supporting the company's mining business by designing a central planning process for CAP's Life of Assets (LoA) and Resource Development Plan (RDP). Developed complex financial models for mining operations, generating comprehensive assessments for short and long-term evaluations, including projects worth over US$ 500 million. Participated in monthly board presentations, showcasing financial, operational, and environmental results. I supervised and provided feedback to trainees, enhancing their skills in economic evaluation and mining plan analysis.

Axion Mining Services is a company that provides solutions in the fields of mining engineering, resource and reserve auditing, and diagnosis/optimization of mining operations.Proposed the implementation of seismic tomography to identify potential exploration targets and utilizing real-time fleet control cameras in open-pit mining. Evaluated new technologies for gold and copper projects, including La Zanja, Tantahuatay, Tambomayo, and San Gabriel in Peru, with a total value ranging from US$100-200 million.

MIINT was established to improve the capital market for small and medium-scale mining and connect stakeholders in mining and finance. After two years, it transitioned to Atanor Minería under one of the founders' leadership.Notable activities include analyzing business prospects for small-scale mining in Copiapó for the National Mining Society (SONAMI), collaborating with Namibia's Ambassador for South America to strengthen Namibia's mining sector, and advising the Institute of Engineers of Chile on the challenges and opportunities in the country's copper industry.

Member of the Civil Society Council of COCHILCO, an advisory body composed in a diverse, representative, and pluralistic manner by representatives of non-profit associations interested in the development of Chilean mining. The Council's role is to contribute constructive ideas and opinions to the design, implementation, and evaluation of public policies, aiming to promote sustainable development of mining as a strategic activity for the country.Key topics that were thoroughly discussed during this time included Chile's export profile and investment in smelters and refineries, threats to national competitiveness from deep-sea mining, challenges related to social license, and mining education opportunities for the general public.

The Department of Mining Engineering is part of the Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences of the University of Chile, the main state institution in higher education that was founded in 1842. This Department offers the undergraduate degree in Mining Civil Engineering and the postgraduates of PhD in Mining Engineering and Master in Mining.As a Professor in Mineral Economics, Project Evaluation, Finance, and Banking, lectured on international mineral trade, economics, and resource management. Contributed to curriculum redesign according to the needs of the mining sector, piloted distance learning technologies, and advised on thesis committees. Briefly served as a columnist for Ambientum magazine, covering climate change, renewable energy, pollution, and species conservation.

As a lecturer at the University of Chile, during two years I was a member of CESCO, organization that contributes to the development of independent and rigorous analysis about the challenges and pressing opportunities of the mining industry at both country and regional levels. My participation as leader of a project in a job publicly tendered by the Ministry of Economy during 2016 stands out, which analyzes and proposes solutions for the restrictions on mining exploration in Chile.

The Andrés Bello University is the largest private university in Chile, it was created in 1988 and its supporter is the Education and Culture Foundation.Responsible for academic quality and industry engagement, managing over 500 students and 10 faculty members. Successfully established partnerships with industry and academic institutions, increasing licenses and patents for R&D initiatives and generating significant cost savings. Spearheaded the modernization of the program, ensuring compliance with academic standards, and fostering a culture of gender equality. Played a key role in collaborating with various organizations, including the Chilean Copper Commission (COCHILCO), the National Mining Association (SONAMI), Delphos Laboratory (University of Chile), the Advanced Center for Mining Technology (AMTC, University of Chile), the Network of Mining Engineers of Chile, Women in Mining, the Ministry of Women and Gender Equity, and the Australian Embassy in Chile. To this is added having represented the University in various events, nationally and internationally.

The Commission for the Financial Market CMF (formerly the Superintendence of Banks and Financial Institutions), is a public service of a technical nature, whose main objectives are to ensure the proper functioning, development and stability of the financial market.Led financial audits and monitoring, establishing procedures to improve data availability, accuracy, and visualization for a loan portfolio exceeding US$ 200 billion. Prepared reports, standardized processes, and managed partnerships for streamlined evaluation and presentation of financial data. Additionally, oversaw stress tests, analyzing credit and market risks, including debt ratios, loan-to-value ratios, credit scores, and property appraisals at regional and national levels.

Atacama Resource Capital, initially a part of the Fund for the Promotion of Scientific and Technological Development, aimed to enhance the perception of Chile's prospectivity for mineral deposits. Professor Christian Moscoso Wallace spearheaded this endeavor.Contributed to the evaluation of energy efficiency programs and conducted a comprehensive analysis of energy costs across OECD countries. Projected the medium-term electricity consumption for copper mines in northern Chile, considering anticipated advancements and expansions over a decade. Collaborated on a public-private project to integrate geoscience data for mineral exploration. Served as a senior consultant in analyzing policies aimed at restructuring the institutional framework for financing mining exploration, with a focus on establishing a capital market for small and medium-scale mining ventures. Conducted in-depth research on lithium utilization and future demand for TRU-Group in Canada. Played a key role in the development and implementation of the geo-statistical software "U-Mine" through a partnership between the University of Chile and Gemcom software.
