On assignment at Meta:● Architecting a nano fabrication research automation solution

Offered myself as a full-time volunteer in the beautifully profound Isha Institute of Inner Sciences through many housekeeping tasks to help bring tools for wellbeing to the people who participated in the frequently scheduled yoga and meditation programs, as well as to myself and other volunteers that took full advantage of the powerfully consecrated spaces offered there.

As a contractor from Infotree Global Services, I worked remotely with Medtronic's Global Industrial IT Team:● Developed data processing for an OEE monitoring solution deployed in 3 sites globally using the deviceWISE and Ignition PaaS environments. ● Developed and refined HMI for capturing operator's input regarding downtime reasons and machine's current state● Developed tools to display and notify the state of applications that monitored machines for OEE● Developed Python scripts to help scale the configuration efforts at the speed and maintainability needed for the pace at which the projects were growing since the platforms did not support several advanced IIoT configuration requirements● Supported various IIoT/digital transformation initiatives across the company, like helping manage SQL databases, collecting data from OPC and MQTT clients, and connecting to AWS and Snowflake for cloud storage and processing.

● Reduced department administrator’s time used for scheduling classes by at least 50% by leading a student group developing a web app using React, Node.js and MySQL. I was involved in every part of the process, from idea creation to meeting with stakeholders, UI design, team building, management, and coding

As a Student Worker in the Research, Technology and Innovation Department, I:● Devised a safer campus by designing an embedded systems adaptation (using an Arduino Digispark microcontroller) for hand sanitizers that allowed for touch-less dispensing while considering how to mass-produce it and commercialize it● Created a Unity game and lesson to teach about Object Oriented Programming fundamentals● Supported the creation of a stunning virtual reality museum project made in Unity where archaeological object 3D models were displayed● Mentored more than 10 teams in 2 hackathons, including a winning team, to focus on what really mattered in the task they were focusing on and how to most quickly reach it, by pulling from a variety of tech and life experience, and also from having won one myself as part of a team.● Saved plastic filament costs by installing a remote monitoring system based on the Raspberry Pi SoC● Determined a measure of the durability of nozzles covered with diamond dust● Provided a continuous opportunity for learning about 3D printers by supporting their repair● Designed client’s intended products in CAD software (Simplify3D), 3D printed musical instruments, learned how to play such instruments, and designed laser cuts for new products

● Introduced new, diverse service contracts by automating a tobacco primary processing warehouse with a capacity of at least 1500 kg/hour. Controlled product temperature, humidity, movement speed, cutting, mixing, and an even deposition on a silo by designing and installing electrical panels, consulting vendors, managing vendor bids, writing Omron PLC software and coordinating delegated tasks with contractors. ● Worked with engineers, technicians, operators and other operations personnel to ensure project solved the user’s needs● Integrated a microcontroller and PCB based telemetry solution for keeping track of the production of more than 50 machines● Increased production of more than 50 cigar tipping and packaging machines by 60% by writing custom PLC software and integrating it to an adaptation produced by a mechanical engineering team, providing technical support to manufacturing operations as needed. Conditioned signals as needed.● Spared the company the need to buy 4 new ThermoKing schedulable refrigerated containers by designing an Allen Bradley PLC-based control system that adapted to 4 manually-operating containers, saving also labor costs. Wrote documentation as needed● Empowered employees to effectively collaborate with machines by designing 2 HMI interfaces for control and troubleshooting, and by training them● Squashed automation issues by troubleshooting them with a laptop in LAN connection● Saved energy and labor costs every weekend by designing and implementing a system for automatic timed activation and deactivation of industrial vacuum pump
