Luis Fernando Bang Dos Santos Email and Phone Number
Hello! I'm a software and product person, always searching for the best solution for both users and companies. Having many years of experience on my backs, I've had my hand on a wide range of different softwares: web and mobile games; websites; web-based systems; online advertising automation; and a few others.Along the road, I had the opportunity to work with many different technologies and languages, and amid them are classics like PHP and WordPress; Ruby and the Rails framework; NodeJS with Express, Restify and Sails; AngularJS; React and Redux; ElasticSearch and Kibana for quick data panels; and many others.I've worked with wonderful teams, all of which were passionate about the projects we worked on at the time. This led me to develop various different skills, like agile methods, team and project management. At some point, this led me to BPM and process automation, which I believe represent a better way to develop software.

Lead Bpm Developer | Bpm EvangelistFundacred Nov 2016 - Apr 2019Porto Alegre Area, BrazilAfter some time at Fundacred, I was held the responsibility of leading the business process automation technologies being implemented at the company, which led me to work with Camunda's excellent BPMS. Together with the team, we've modeled a few processes (undisclosed) using BPMN and DMN notations, automating them using Camunda. Our first BPM project was an informal process, in the sense that the organization operated it outside its core ERP. Being the first of its kind, Camunda was chosen as the BPMS and process engine to run it. We have also developed a custom tasklist so other departments could operate the new process. This brought the necessity to build a whole platform to support the BPM methodology, which we started with technologies like Node, Angular and Java, and later on adding React and ElasticSearch into the mix.New BPM projects came after that, which I've also used as opportunities to test new ideas for process discovery and mapping, with great success using a simplified version of JAD (Joint Application Development) meetings, with both tech and business people participating. As the adoptance of BPM grew, I've stretched my horizons and embraced the role of a BPM Evangelist. Being so, I was given the oppotunity to not only lead my teammates with BPM best practices and Camunda's inner workings, but also to spread the whys and hows of BPM throughout the organization. One notable achievement, among many, was the automation of a client profile analysis process that used to take a full work day reduced to seconds.Competences and abilities developed:- BPM- BPM notations (BPMN, DMN and CMMN)- BPM development (with Camunda)- Process discovery with JAD meetings- Process mapping and modelling with BPMN- Team leadership- Interviews with candidates for development positions- Amazon's AWS- Docker- Jenkins for CI- Node- Java + SpringBoot- ElasticSearch- PostgreSQL- Oracle Database- Linux- Scrum + Kanban- Angular- React- JavaScript + ES6 -
Senior Full Stack DeveloperFundacred Jan 2016 - Apr 2019Porto Alegre Area, BrazilI've joined Fundacred as a Senior Full-stack Dev to help build a whole new platform for both our clients as ourselves.Fundacred is a non-profit organization that provides scholarships through partnerships between universities. Being a 45 year-old organization, we were going through a complete revamp in many ways, so as to be able to grow the way we pictured.I've worked on multiple projects and POCs, the two more notable being webapps for both students and universities, where they could acquire their scholarship and manage students who were benefited by it, respectively. We have done a lot of cool things: continuous integration with Jenkins, front-ends with AngularJS, back-ends with Node and Java, data integration with Oracle and microservices for our architecture. Scrum was adopted early on to help meet our demands, as well as a Kanban board full of post-its.With time, I've shared the role of Technical Leader with another teammate, helping the team decide on technologies, methods, patterns and architetures while building new software.Competences and abilities developed:- Node- JavaScript- AngularJS- Java- Oracle Database- PostgreSQL- Jenkins- Linux servers- GIT- Scrum + Kanban -

Full-Stack Developer | Flash SpecialistOcapi Jun 2011 - Apr 2015Novo Hamburgo Area, BrazilI've joined Ocapi through a connection's indication, initially as a Flash specialist to help and build an automated ad creation system called Banner Fácil, an automated Flash advertising creation platform, which enabled users to generate their ads based on Flash templates and their own product inventory.Ocapi was a startup, with small teams and two big products. We had two development teams, each one for a specific product, consisting of two developers each, along with our CTO and a commercial duo. We used Kanban to help us coordinate our activities, but no Scrum, just strong verbal and written communication, with our CTO being the Product Owner for both products.Since the early days, I've got my hands on front-ends, back-ends and devops, doing as much as I could to help the organization grow, which helped me not only to learn new technologies and methods, but to also grow as a professional and individual. As things went on, we had more products, and I was granted the responsibility to lead the development behind our Banner Fácil product, while also helping develop our other product, Vitrines Inteligentes. We had no strings attached, and everyone contributed to everything, from deciding which technology to use to hiring new colleagues. Our stack was pretty awesome at the time: we had Bootstrap and AngularJS on our fronts, Ruby on Rails rocking our back-ends, and quite some different databases storing our information.Competences and abilities developed:- HTML + CSS- JavaScript- Ruby- Rails framework- TDD- AngularJS- Flash and ActionScript (2 and 3)- Go- ElasticSearch- Redis- Node- Nginx- PostgreSQL- Linux servers- Devops- Agile methodologies (Kanban only) -
