From early on revealed a rather eclectic personality. Studied Medicine in the 1970’s for a few years while pursuing other interests like Photography, Surfing and Sailing. Sailing led to repairs and an interest for Composite materials and Engineering.1982 was a turn around year as he joined SP Systems in the UK.Changing course, he dedicated all his efforts to the task of improving and expanding the business of providing Composite materials and the Engineering and Process Know-how required to build top racing sailing yachts to boat builders in the UK, Europe and elsewhere.From 1987 to 1989 after leaving SP to join DRA in France, was involved in the construction of several leading composite yachts, project managing the ¾ Ton series of Bribon’s and the Whitbread Round World Race Fortuna Lights, followed by the successful Farr maxi Longobarda.1989 was another game changer when Raul Gardini and Paul Cayard invited him to run the "Il Moro di Venezia" America's Cup Campaign Construction Program.Returning to the UK In 1995 he created Trimarine Advanced Marine Projects Ltd. A consultancy and project management company which he runs to this day.After many years of consideration, 2010 saw the creation of Trimarine Compósitos Lda. A specialist company in composite construction projects having worked mainly in the Marine and Oil & Gas Industries using Carbon fibre in all it’s forms (Prepreg, RFI, Infusion and wetpreg).
