About Fernando Mendes

I am an aerospace engineer with experience in high-complexity projects, from the development of propulsion systems for CubeSats to research in nuclear thermal propulsion. Graduated with honors from the University of Brasília and currently pursuing a master's degree at USP, my research focuses on hydrodynamic instability studies in airfoil flows, a crucial topic for advances in aerodynamics and aircraft performance. Additionally, I am pursuing a specialization in Aeronautical Systems, deepening my knowledge of advanced technologies and techniques applied to the aerospace sector.Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to lead teams and projects, developing strong skills in Project Management and creating detailed Technical Reports focused on Systems Architecture. I have extensive experience in Programming and Data Analysis, using tools such as Python, Matlab, Ansys Fluent, and SolidWorks to optimize processes and improve results. I also have advanced knowledge in system integration and testing, ensuring the quality and effectiveness of the aerospace projects I have worked on.Furthermore, I have contributed to NASA-funded projects and participated in international competitions, where I was recognized for my leadership and innovation skills. My work is guided by scientific curiosity and a passion for exploring the unknown, always seeking to contribute to the advancement of science and technology.
