Throughout his academic and professional career, Fernando Ceballos has specialized in different branches of geotechnical design of civil works, as well as in calculation and verification tasks using analytical and numerical elements. Although a large part of his professional career is linked to the field of tunnels and underground works, he has also achieved an extensive experience in foundations and ground treatments. He has been involved in other areas of expertise such as geotechnical calculations for hydraulic and energy projects. Some of his most relevant experiences includes important metro projects especially the Riyadh Metro– Green line (2014-2017), Lima Metro L2-L4 (2017) and Stockholm Metro Extension – Blue Line Nacka to Söderort (2016-2020). Currently, he is part of the core design team for the Sydney Metro West – Central Tunneling Package Detail design, acting as a liaison between the geotechnical design team in Madrid and the client.He has provided technical support on-site to clients and administrations, in addition, to develop geotechnical surveys supervision.
