I am a highly motivated person, passionate about scientific excellence. I have a combination of experiences leading to multidisciplinary research, management, and innovation.I’m a research scientist working to contribute and increase today's understanding of tribological and engineering problems. My expertise includes project design and management, data analysis and interpretation, and the development and implementation of research tools. I enjoy generating new ideas and feasible solutions to relevant problems. Research Interests: Most topics related to tribology, i.e., wear mechanisms and lubrication of machine elements, additives, greases, and oils. More recently, waste materials and natural fibers, polymeric composites, phase change materials (PCM), and shape memory alloys for different applications.Research Management: Project coordination, scientific leadership, dissemination and communication results, project quality assurance.International Experiences: London UK.I am an active researcher of the National Research System in Mexico (SNI-1 since 2000) and member of the Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers (STLE). I have published several scientific papers in international journals and proceedings of a very high standard of quality. I am also a reviewer for International Journals such as Tribology Letters, Lubrication Science, Tribology Transactions, Journal of Applied Polymer Science, Journal of Engineering Tribology and Surface Coatings Technology.I am always interested in discussing collaborations and future opportunities.fernandochinas@gmail.com
