RetiredFernando Apr 2023 - PresentBerlin, Berlin, DeAfter 40 years of a very rewarding tech industry career I have decided to retire and turn my attention to the next chapter of my life. I am very grateful to all the companies, mentors and co-workers during this season where I witnessed life and world changing technology developments while still maintaining some level of balance. This started with the first PC from IBM to current developments in AI, robotics and the transformation of space; dial-up to high speed internet; landlines to mobile computing; and remarkable advances in medical devices. Though retiring from day to day activities, I am even more attracted to keeping up with the next tectonic changes in AI that will redefine how we live, consume information and interact with the world around us. This will have relevance to us all regardless of the stage of life we are in and greatly impact our children and all generations to come.My focus will turn to time with family, loved ones, travel, my passion for active sports in surfing, climbing, skiing, golf and a pursuit for the real importance and perspective in this next chapter.
