With over 15 years in academic research and product development in the fashion industry, my journey began with a Product Design degree in Belém do Pará. I earned a Master's in Fashion, Culture, and Art from Senac São Paulo University Centre in 2008, marking the start of my career as a researcher and educator. I've authored 20+ papers and published my first book in 2020. My doctoral thesis was completed in 2023 and focused on "Images in the History of Clothing". In 2018, I won the Gilda de Mello e Souza Award for the best article at Colóquio de Moda, Latin America's premier conference on fashion studies.My teaching career began with an internship at Senac University Centre. In 2011, I became part-time lecturer at the University of Amazon - UNAMA in Belém and later coordinated the Bachelor's in Fashion (2015-2019). In 2019, I joined the esteemed Armando Álvares Penteado Foundation in São Paulo, becoming a Full Professor and coordinating the Bachelor of Fashion course until 2023.Alongside academia, I led the "Caixa de Criadores" project (2006-2012), awarded in 2012 by the Brazilian Ministry of Culture for promoting local brands and I've contributed to the industry as a designer's assistant, producer and trend consultant. I've collaborated with IGAMA - Amazonian Gems and Jewelry Institute (IGAMA) on multiple occasions, conducting consultations, delivering lectures, and organising fashion shows to support local creators in clothing and fashion accessories. Since 2024, I'm on sabbatical in Berlin - Germany, aiming to spearhead fresh research initiatives and expand internationally.
