Software Developer Intern on the Contracts Technical Support team, Fernando was mainly responsible for developing solutions to support the team and interface areas activities during the delivery process of an aircraft. The solutions were developed on both Salesforce, using Visualforce/Apex, and on Embraer proprietary systems, using ASP.NET.Fernando is also migrating management tools that were once on Excel spreadsheets into Salesforce visibilities, reports and pages, reducing the amount of time spent to update the information as it is automatically updated using the data on Salesforce as well as the work required on management and planning tasks.

As a Microsoft Student Partner, Fernando participated in several events throughout Brazil including Campus Party 2013. On many of these events, he was part of the technical team, speaking about Windows 8 and Windows Phone app development. Fernando also developed some apps, one of them (Itajubá Culinária) was used as the example by one of Microsoft Evangelists in Brazil on a national Microsoft initiative for Windows 8 app development (AppDay).

During the 9 weeks internship, Fernando was able to contribute to various LexisNexis products. His main responsibility was to create unit test cases for Accurint, one of LexisNexis biggest products. Almost 600 test cases were created, which covered more than 90% of the product's code. Besides Accurint, he also created unit test cases for another product, the Electronic Credentialing Tool. The test cases for ECT covered about 50% of its code. What was interesting is that in the process of creating this unit tests, some bugs were found and fixed using the tests. As all the web services are in C#, all the work was developed under the Microsoft platform using Visual Studio and the Visual Studio Unit Testing Framework.The created tests are planned to be integrated with Bamboo, bringing even more benefits to the company. Making the developers discover problems early at development stage, improving the time-to-market of products, generating even more revenue for the company.

As vice-president and president, Fernando managed a team of approximately 15 people and organized several events, such as the 4th Seminar in Computing, a whole-week event presenting more than 100 hours of content to its participants.
