With over 15 years of experience in environmental consulting and project management, I am a Master Environmental Analyst at Vale, one of the world's largest mining companies. I hold a PMP certification and a M.S. in Botany from the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, Brazil. My mission is to mitigate the environmental impacts of Vale's operations on biodiversity and ecosystem services, following international standards and best practices.In my current role, I execute environmental studies for environmental licensing purposes, focusing on endemic plant species, cumulative impacts, risk assessment, and conservation practices. I also coordinate agreements and technical research with external partners and stakeholders. Previously, I worked as a Associate Consultant at The Biodiversity Consultancy Ltd, where I developed corporate biodiversity strategies and offsetting plans for multi-sector clients in Brazil. I have also contributed to the writing and revision of environmental impact assessments, baseline reports, and action plans for projects in the mining sector in Brazil and Peru. My expertise includes applying the mitigation hierarchy, defining critical habitats, and conducting field data collection and analysis in terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems.
