Leading the development and implementation of performance objetives across all sites, annual improvement plans, identifying the most significant risks and defining controls. The main achievements obtained are: - Consistent reduction (20%) of annual total environmental incidents in the last three years- Initial design of a global water strategy (conservation, efficiency, consumption, risks and controls).- Development of an Obligation Register system. - Digitization and technology applied at environmental monitoring programs and controls- Successful re-certification in ISO 14001 and International Cyanide Code for all gold operations - Talent Development plans in place, covering key positions in operations with internal resources, reflecting solid career plans and diligent execution

Development and implementation of corporate policies, standards and guidance on technical aspects across all Barrick sites. Reporting to the Corporate Environmental Vice-President.• Leadership in the implementation process of standards and guidance for water conservation and quality, acid rock drainage, mercury management and biodiversity, transferring the concepts and applying best practices in an expansion project in Zambia, Chile, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and operations in Papua New Guinea and Australia.• Managing 4 Subject Matter Experts (SME´s) in Hydrology, Hydrogeology, Geochemistry and Biodiversity at a global scale, providing effective technical guidance to all operations in Barrick, sharing lessons learned and providing recommendations focused on reducing environmental risks long term

Environmental representative of Barrick Gold Corp Board of Directors, especially in the Responsibility Committee of the Board. Responsible for the implementation of the Environmental, Health and Safety Management System in the South American operations. • Direct involvement in the development of the “Courageous Leadership” program for Safety and Health and leading the training, delivery and execution of the program at South American sites. The main achievements obtained are: A positive organizational and cultural change in the company and the approach towards safety and health, supported by a solid line-management commitment. A consistent reduction of the annual total reportable incident rates resulting in an average 65% reduction between 2005 and 2011. Improving operational excellence, reflected in costs savings for the organization • Leadership in the process of preparing the sites for the initial adaptation to the ISO 14001 and Cyanide Code standards and further certification. Focus on Veladero mine in Argentina and Lagunas Norte in Peru.

Barrick wholly owned operation in Huaraz-Peru which started gold production in year 1999. During several years it was considered the world lowest gold production cost operation. The site also experienced excellent safety, health and environmental results along the years. The site is currently under the initial execution of mine closure
