In 2013, ALG relocated all of its remote employees to Santa Barbara. As part of this move I was offered a position in the Technology Team as a Business Intelligence Developer. This was an exciting move as it allowed me to significantly increase focus on the technological aspects of my role at ALG. As a Business Intelligence Developer I leveraged my extensive company knowledge to create solutions for the entire company, automate many processes that were previously being performed by analysts, create automated reports to facilitate access to the information captured in our databases, manage many of our reporting tools and support the software development team.

In 2009, ALG was reorganized once more and the Custom Models & Analytics group was dissolved. Only three of us were kept together to create the Data Analytics team, which became a sub-group of the ALG Consulting group. As manager of this Team, I reported to the Consulting manager and coordinated the necessary tasks in order to meet the requirements set forth for Consulting Projects and data analysis. In this role, my responsibilities shifted even further into the IT arena and became more involved in the actual development of our internal data solutions. In essence, I began transitioning into a Business Intelligence Development/Data Warehouse Developer role.

Because of the Data Processing & Analysis group's responsibilities to generate material to support Public Relations and Marketing, I ended up communicating with the press and marketing agencies. My knowledge and understanding of the data that we were sharing with them allowed me to eloquently explain what we were providing. As time went by and my external exposure grew, the leadership at ALG felt it relevant to give me the secondary title of Communications Manager.I thoroughly enjoyed this role, as it allowed me to step out from behind the computer and exercise my interpersonal skills.

In 2008, the Data Processing & Analysis group was absorved into the Custom Models & Analytics group. My responsibilities remained the same as the previous year but with coorporate restructuring, I now had a Senior Manager to report to. Some of my previous administrative responsibilities were diminished and my focus shifted towards more data processing and technology related tasks.

In 2005, ALG became a DealerTrack company. I relocated to Portland to work from the Chrome office. Chrome was another automotive data company also acquired by DealerTrack. At that time, I was asked to create the Data Processing & Analysis group. The purpose of this group was to process our third party vendor data, and assist the IT group in creating relational databases & buisness solutions. We also began to take over all graphical support for consulting projects, presentations and PR/Marketing material.In this position, I successfully managed a team of three people and coordinated our resources to meet the needs of multiple departments within ALG and DealerTrack.

In 2003, ALG's Consulting Group was created by Jonathan Banks and I was asked to become the first member of this group. In this new role, I compiled and analyzed data relevant to Consulting projects and created graphs and tables to facilitate the communication of this information. As the demand for data accessibility grew, I became more closely involved with the IT department and began my training in SQL.

As an Economic Analyst, I performed Residual Risk Analyses on vehicle lease portfolios for major captive and non-captive financial agencies; analyzed different types of data, and generated reports for the Editorial Department and external clients.
