As I progress through my educational career and individual development, having a determined mindset, being a dependable leader and engaged collaborator have become essential in my growth. Throughout my experiences, I have greatly valued the importance of being a dependable leader. For example, I had the upmost pride in my previous position as Vice President of Finance for my sorority which involved communicating financial literacy about the chapter to more than 150 women. Additionally, I see value in the level of determination I have for tasks that are presented to me, for example, starting back up a tutoring program for hispanic/Latino children of the Bloomington Community after a two year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.Furthermore, I have discovered the significance of being an engaged collaborator as my time at Indiana University in the Kelley School of Business progresses. I have had multiple opportunities to collaborate in creating meaningful discussions within my classes to facilitate engaging conversation in a variety of fields. As time goes on, I aspire to advance these skills as I simultaneously study the field of accounting and obtain more leadership experiences and come face-first with new people and challenges.
