I started my current position at Mediamorph by designing and implementing support for authorization-group entity filtering in Elasticsearch and Hibernate, leveraging Spring Framework's support for Aspect Oriented Programming.My day-to-day duties include working on the development, maintenance and documentation of several support libraries and applications that are part of the Mediamorph Platform, using Spring Boot Framework as our backend framework, and Python for scripting and ingesting data into our applications.A significant percentage of my development time is invested designing, developing and maintaining customer-specific application plugins, used to drive customer-specific integrations, validations, and processes.Most recently, I designed and developed a data warehousing solution for one of our newest products, transforming and loading data from several components of the Mediamorph Platform into Amazon Redshift, allowing our customers to take advantage of our suite of reporting tools, providing valuable insights and analytics into their business.

I'm working on developing a Web Services REST API application written in Spring Boot (Spring 4+/Java 8), a key component in a new Enterprise Service Bus currently under development as MoreDirect migrates to a Service Oriented Architecture. This application connects to multiple SQL (Using JPA/Hibernate and jOOQ) and NoSQL datasources, allowing information to be stored and retrieved seamlessly from any of them. It also allows the integration with third party applications and services used both in-house and by several Fortune 500 customers.I've also written several smaller applications and components, such as a PHP wrapper for the previously mentioned Web Service API, allowing developers to connect seamlessly to the new endpoints that are being developed. There's also a report scheduler application that consumes the Web Services API in order to generate and deliver reports to key executives and customers.

I worked in the development of the Customer Service Portal, an internal CRM Web application based on Zend Framework 2 (PHP 5.4) using the Doctrine2 ORM, tasked with mantaining and updating older features and developing newer features, screens and business processes in the system, using an Agile methodology (SCRUM) and collaboration tools (Git) integrated into the the Atlassian stack (Jira for issue tracking, Confluence for documentation and Stash for Git repository management).I also implemented the Flexshopper Payment Platform, a plugin which allows partner merchants to use Flexshopper as a payment method on their e-commerce websites, extending Flexshopper’s reach into new business opportunitiesI was also involved in the setup and deployment of Splunk in our server infrastructure (Ubuntu and CentOS servers) in order to effectively monitor and analyze our server and application logs.Along with my Software Engineering roles in the company, I assisted in the design, development and analysis of new reports for the marketing, accounting and business development departments using MySQL, MongoDB, R and Microsoft Excel 2013, providing insight on several KPIs

Initially i was tasked with the implementation of a CRM solution (Metrix Service Management), eventually designing and implementing a middleware integration solution between several of our customer’s systems and our CRM, developing new APIs and integrating with existing customer APIs and EDI servicesI designed and implemented several PHP (CakePHP 1.3, 2.1, 2.2), Java (Spring Framework) and C# .NET MVC web applications for different departments within the company (HHRR, Services, Operations)I was also tasked with the implementation of Office 365 for enterprise and Sharepoint Online for team collaboration, project and objective tracking and document sharing within several of the company's divisions, process which is currently ongoing.Since June 2013, I was appointed as the Project Manager in the development of a Ruby On Rails based SaaS application for educational institutions, beginning with the initial requirement analysis and solution design (database structure, development framework, database replication tool, etc)
