As an AI researcher I have worked on many computer vision models for the Remini application. In the context of photo enhancement, I have worked on face restoration, digital Bokeh and automatic picture framing. I also carried out a few streams on generative AI, in particular on custom subject generation and the usage of generative techniques for text based picture editing.As the AI research lead for Remini, I have coordinated the projects of various other researchers on face editing (make-up application, hair coloring, hair beautification), portrait relighting, chat based photo editing, video translation and custom subject generation

As the R&D group was growing, my main responsibilities shifted more from individual contribution (which I kept doing) to coordinating other data scientists and steering the research directions of the group.

In UniCredit, I was one of the first members of the R&D group. The role required bringing ideas from academia into an industrial setting, and turning papers into working prototypes and tools.My main contributions have been: Hermes, a platform to analyze the content of news relevant to UniCredit, Babel, an analytic tool that introduced big data platforms into the bank, Exceed, a realtime trading engine, Pig, a tool to extract information from garnishment documents – as well as many other prototypes.My position implied a diverse set of responsibilities, from presenting the ideas to the stake-holders, to keeping up to date on many research fronts; developing prototypes and production applications, from the database architectures to the models, the servicing layer and the user interface; contributing to the open source ecosystem and maintain relationships with the academia.In this period, I have followed many research ideas, mainly around machine learning, lattice cryptography and natural language processing. I have organized an internal seminar, where I also had the opportunity to present many topics, including: the Spark ecosystem, cryptocurrencies, oblivious RAM, OpenCL, neural networks, topological data analysis, Wasserstein GAN and graph embedding techinques.

As a developer for MoneyFarm I have been dealing with the integration of server-side services the development of the web platform.

During my experience with I Mille, I have had the opportunity to expand my knowledge of programming and web technologies, both on the frontend and the backend.

During my PhD, I have done teaching assistance for various courses at the Faculties of Mathematics, Statistics and Engineering.
