Since joining in 2017, I have supported the evolution of Electron's strategy towards the development of digital platforms to coordinate the increasingly fragmented data and market landscape.I provide expert support to the business, supporting project delivery, and participating in market design activities for network optimisation projects in four countries, both in English and French for projects in Switzerland.These projects delivered the first secondary Capacity Market trade between separate organisations, a peer to peer marketplace for demand response in South Korea, and a local DSO market in Orkney. This last project integrates a neutral market platform with Active Network Management systems, and coordinates the local market with ESO requirements.I supported the Energy Data Task Force, and have led projects developing approaches to distributed data management, including the NIA project RecorDER, and the successful bid for the Modernising Energy Data Access competition.My role involves identifying new projects to support the product strategy. I have managed bids in competitions run by InnovateUK and BEIS, and Electron's participation in the PFER Detailed Design project RESO.I lead our business development activities and manage relations with aggregators, retailers, DNOs and ESO, government and regulators. I organised the UK's first energy blockchain hackathon which attracted 120 developers from across the energy industry.Analysing policy in areas relevant to Electron's activities, I focus on DER participation in flexibility markets, facilitating wider access to markets through platforms, and the emerging role of DSOs.A member of Ofgem's Access and Forward-Looking Charges SCR Challenge Group and the ISGAN UK National Team, I have presented at conferences around Europe hosted by the European Commission, EPRI, GOP2P and represented the UK at Mission Innovation Smart Grids conference in Rome.

At Utilitywise, I was responsible for a team of 65 managing the delivery of all corporate energy procurement services to over 1,000 industrial, commercial and governmental large energy consumers. I oversaw the risk management of 12 TWh of wholesale gas and power on behalf of consumers, and ensured the development and delivery of bill validation, data analysis, and market intelligence and analysis services.
