Technology is mostly about people - by people, to people. The main challenge for me, is to enable delivering high quality services while keeping my people happy without sacrificing customer satisfaction. The most exhilarating times in my career have been the high-performing teams striving towards Agile and DevOps. I have a strong hands-on background in software development, DevOps, quality engineering and various domains from information security to online banking. I feel most at home as a coach and a facilitator, even a leader.Let me tell you about the greatest rides: Once I was the Scrum Master of an awesome team working in an empowered organization following a process that later became known as SAFe. Another time we improved the lead times of deploying software to customers from a mean 125 (max 500) days to weekly by automating the whole thing. Way back I replaced myself with a shell script and got a more interesting role. In October 2018 I finished my first Ironman.Practically speaking, I have worked as a full-time Scrum Master, lead a team responsible for the SaaS service starting from the rack to the delivery automation, I have created tools for deploying a heterogeneous set of backend systems before Terraform was a thing, I have worked with Open Source and written device drivers for Linux and I spoken publicly on professional topics and just for laughs in my second job as a stand-up comedian. I still contribute to some Open Source projects when I have the time and I am building my Raspberry Pi Kubernetes rack at home.
